Event Details

A Johnston County Master Gardener Volunteer's event open to all gardeners and nature lovers.

Pollinator gardens, birds, bees and butterflies will be the focus of this one-day symposium. It is part of an ongoing effort by Johnston County Extension Master Gardeners to educate the public.

Expert speakers from around the State will provide a plethora of information. Bringing these concepts together, our final speaker will present how to design a pollinator garden that will cohesively combine all three areas. This public symposium is designed for homeowners, but also effective for schools, churches, businesses, etc.

September is the perfect time to start planting your fall plants - but which ones will attract bees, or birds, or butterflies? Come to this event to find out the facts about the plants best for North Carolina. Meet experts and interesting people that will share their knowledge on getting birds, bees, and butterflies into your back yard!! Refreshments and lunch will be provided with registration.

Registration closes Sept 1st!
