George (Tripp) Ake, PhD, is a Licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of child trauma treatment. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry in the UNC-Chapel Hill school of Medicine. Dr. Ake is also the Training and Implementation Program Director for the UCLA- Duke National Center for Child Traumatic Stress- the coordinating center for the SAMHSA-funded National Child Traumatic Stress Network and the Co-Training Director at the Center for Child and Family Health.
